Partner story
Partnership between HDBSystem and Nets
Running a car workshop is about much more than screws and engines. Behind the work on customers' cars, there is also a daily routine filled with administration – time that is often taken away from what the workshops really want to do. From this insight, HDBsystem was born: a cloud-based business system built by mechanics for mechanics.
From the workshop floor to everyday digital life
Since its launch in Denmark in 2018, the system has steadily grown and is now used by around 500 workshops in the Nordic countries and Europe. In Sweden, it was launched at the Auto Show in Gothenburg in 2023, and already 44 workshops are connected.
Payments with safety and simplicity in focus
HDBsystem had a clear goal: to create a digital workflow where payments work easily and securely, so that workshops can spend more time with customers. For this, a payment partner was needed who could provide both stability and trust, regardless of the country.
– We searched for a long time for a solution where payments could be handled directly in our system, and that also works in multiple countries. For our customers, security is important – the money should reach the account without any hassle, says Andreas Lundgren, CEO of HDBsystem.
Together with Nets, a solution was developed that seamlessly connects invoices, the terminal, and accounting. When an invoice amount is created, it is automatically sent to the terminal, eliminating the risk of incorrect manual entries. When the payment is registered, it is posted immediately, making reconciliation both simple and accurate.
More time for important things
For the workshops, the collaboration with Nets has led to tangible improvements in everyday operations. It's not just about smoother payment flows, but about a whole system that makes work easier and more profitable.
When amounts are sent automatically from the invoice to the terminal, the risk of manual errors disappears, something that previously could lead to both frustration and lost revenue. It's also an advantage that the accounting is updated immediately and reconciliations are done automatically, saving both time and resources in the office.
Payments always arrive correctly and on time – An improved workflow ensures that workshops can rely on payments always arriving correctly and on time, which creates predictability in the finances. For our customers, this means more time on the workshop floor and less time in the office. It makes a difference – both for the finances and for job satisfaction, continues Andreas.
The continued digitalization is crucial
Through HDBSystems, workshops can free up time that can instead be spent meeting customers, servicing cars, and developing the business. The result is a more efficient everyday life, more satisfied employees – and ultimately, more satisfied customers.
Continued digitalization is crucial to keep up with today's pace. The next step for HDBSystems is to offer payments directly on the customer's mobile – so that the workshop gets paid before the car is even picked up.
