Kivra and Nets - digital receipts
Key takeaways

Digital receipts are taking an important step forward in Sweden through a new partnership between Nets, part of Nexi Group, and Kivra. Together, we are enabling a more automated and secure connection between payment and receipt – directly at the point of purchase. The collaboration is built on Nexi Engage, our platform for tokenization and digital receipt services.

Connecting payment and receipt in real time

Through Nexi Engage, a digital receipt can be linked to the correct user already at the moment of payment. The secure token generated during the card transaction makes it possible to match the transaction to the correct Kivra user without sharing any sensitive card information between the parties.

This enables digital receipts to be delivered automatically, quickly and accurately, without any extra steps for either merchants or consumers.

A more integrated payments infrastructure

The solution is compatible with the lion part of the Swedish payments infrastructure, creating the conditions for a broader rollout of digital receipts across Sweden.

For merchants, this means more efficient receipt flows and reduced administration. For consumers, it creates a more seamless and connected payment experience.

Security and integrity at the core

All card data processing takes place in PCI DSS-certified environments. Kivra does not have access to card numbers or other sensitive information, only the token used to match the receipt to the correct user. This ensures a secure and robust solution for all parties involved.

Perspectives from the partnership

What we are seeing now is the beginning of a shift where the receipt becomes a natural part of the payments infrastructure rather than an afterthought. – Henrik Lönnevi, CEO, Kivra

A step towards more connected digital flows

The collaboration between Nets and Kivra demonstrates how payments infrastructure, secure tokenization and digital platforms can work together to create more integrated digital flows.

This is not just about receipts, but about how payment, identity and digital communication come together in a safer and more efficient way. The result is a solution that combines innovation, integrity and efficiency in one seamless flow.
